Vehicle Sales Agreement
Between Petrolex Auto Imports Limited (“the Company”) and the customer named below (“the Purchaser”), for the sale of the vehicle described below.

4. Terms and conditions
- Deposit. The deposit is payable on signing and is applied to the purchase price. It secures the vehicle for the Purchaser and is non-refundable once the Company has committed funds to purchase, import or ship the vehicle on the Purchaser's instruction.
- Balance and delivery. The balance is payable in cleared funds before the vehicle is released. Title and risk pass to the Purchaser on delivery against a receipted balance.
- Taxes and statutory charges. Import duty, GCT, environmental levy, port, storage and brokerage charges are assessed by the Jamaica Customs Agency and other authorities. Where these are for the Purchaser's account, figures quoted are estimates and any difference on assessment is payable by, or refundable to, the Purchaser.
- Exchange rate. Amounts quoted in a foreign currency are converted at the rate applying on the date each payment is received.
- Delivery dates. Shipping and clearance dates are set by carriers and authorities. Estimated dates are given in good faith and are not guaranteed; the Company is not liable for delay outside its control.
- Condition. Unless a written warranty is issued with this Agreement, the vehicle is sold as is. The Purchaser has inspected the vehicle, or has waived inspection, and accepts its condition. Auction inspection sheets and photographs supplied are the grader's opinion, not the Company's warranty.
- Warranty. Where a written warranty is issued, it is limited to the components, period and mileage stated in it and excludes wear items, consumables, damage from misuse, accident, neglect or unauthorised repair.
- Cancellation. The Purchaser may cancel before the Company commits funds, and the deposit less any costs already incurred will be refunded within thirty (30) days. After commitment, cancellation forfeits the deposit to the extent of the Company's committed costs.
- Storage. Vehicles not collected within seven (7) days of the Company giving notice that they are ready may attract storage charges at the Company's published rate.
- Entire agreement. This Agreement, together with the Company's invoice, is the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior representation. Variations must be in writing and signed by both parties.
- Governing law. This Agreement is governed by the laws of Jamaica and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the Jamaican courts.
