Sourced to Your Specification

Our sourcing network allows us to locate vehicles based on a customer’s preferred make, model, year, colour, mileage, specifications, condition and budget — then carry the same request through purchase, export, shipping and Jamaican clearance without you having to deal with a separate broker at each step.

What we work from

Tell us as much as you know and we search against it. Nothing on the list is compulsory — a make and a budget is enough to start — but the more of it you give us, the closer the units we come back with.

What the network covers

  • Japanese dealer inventories and eligible vehicle auctions searched against your brief.
  • Available auction information reviewed before an auction vehicle is purchased.
  • Japanese export documentation and de-registration handled on the Japan side.
  • Shipping booked by an appropriate method for the unit and the sailing.
  • Jamaican port, customs and clearance procedures coordinated on arrival.
  • One reference from request to handover, visible in your Petrolex account.

Import eligibility, duties and clearance requirements are set by the Jamaican authorities and are confirmed per vehicle before you are asked to commit to anything.

How Our Japan Vehicle Sourcing Works

Eight steps from your request to your keys. Steps 2 and 3 happen in Japan; everything else you can follow from your Petrolex account.

1 Submit Your Vehicle Request

Tell us the vehicle you want, including make, model, year range, colour, engine size, preferred mileage, features and budget.

4 Customer Approval

A suitable vehicle and estimated cost are presented to you. Petrolex obtains the required authorization before proceeding under the applicable order agreement.

5 Purchase & Export Processing

After the vehicle is secured, the necessary Japanese export documentation and shipping arrangements are processed.

6 Shipping to Jamaica

Vehicles may be shipped using an appropriate method such as RORO or container shipping, depending on the vehicle, shipment and applicable arrangements.

7 Arrival & Customs Clearance

Upon arrival in Jamaica, the vehicle proceeds through the applicable port, customs and clearance procedures.

8 Vehicle Handover

After all applicable payments, documentation and clearance requirements are completed, the vehicle is prepared for collection or delivery.

Vehicles We Can Source

Body types we regularly source through the Japan network, for private buyers and for businesses running fleets.

Frequently requested models

Examples only, and other eligible Japanese vehicles can be sourced. Availability, year eligibility and price differ by model and by sailing — ask us and we will search against your brief.

Why Source Through Petrolex?

One company accountable for the whole chain, with the Japan-side relationships to find the vehicle and the local presence to hand it to you.

Competitive sourcing

Dealer stock and eligible auctions searched together, so you are not limited to one seller’s inventory.

Verified vehicle information

The details and photographs we hold for a specific unit, shared as documented — not generic model copy.

Transparent order processing

Estimated cost presented for approval before purchase, and authorization taken under the order agreement.

Trusted supplier relationships

Established Japanese supplier and exporter relationships, including The Japanese Car Company.

Shipping coordination

Export booking, vessel and voyage details tracked through to the discharge port.

Import assistance

Port, customs and clearance procedures coordinated on the Jamaican side.

Transaction documentation

Invoices, receipts, agreements and shipping papers issued and kept against your order.

Local customer support

A Kingston office, a local phone number and a WhatsApp line staffed in Jamaican business hours.

What we will and will not claim

Sourcing honestly matters more to us than sounding impressive, so the wording on this page is deliberately careful.

SPECIAL ORDER

Looking for a Specific Vehicle?

Tell us what you want. We’ll help source it from Japan. The form below opens your request with our sourcing desk, and it becomes a tracked order in your Petrolex account the moment you approve a vehicle.

Special order form

Submitting this form costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We reply with what the network can find, the estimated landed cost to Jamaica and the deposit required.

A sourcing request becomes your order once you approve a vehicle, and the agreement, the invoice and the customs entry are all matched on your TRN, address and parish — so we ask for them now rather than at the wharf. Your TRN is shown only to our Accounts and Management staff.

We reply from sales@lexautoimports.com, usually within one business day. Prefer to work from a landed-cost figure first? The order page carries our deposit calculator.

From request to delivery, in one place

Your request is logged against a Petrolex reference straight away. When you approve a sourced vehicle it continues as an order in your account — the same reference the whole way through.
